COOLING TOWER TECH

The purpose of this position is to assist with the construction of cooling towers by performing basic construction tasks as needed and instructed. Position may require extensive travel depending on project location.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain a clean worksite by making sure worksite is free of debris and trash throughout the day
  • Provide crew with needed materials to perform tasks
  • Roll-out tools at the beginning of the workday and put away tools at the end of the workday
  • Work at heights as needed while observing 100% tie-off
  • Assist to assemble structure, as directed
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by Foreman and/or Superintendent

REQUIREMENTS

Below are the initial requirements that you MUST meet in order to qualify for this role:

  • 5 Year Graded Background Check
  • Drug Test
  • Must have reliable means of transportation to and from the office

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma, or equivalent
  • 0 – 3 years’ construction experience

CERTIFICATIONS | SKILLS | ABILITIES

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Knowledge and application of safety standards through OSHA training and experience (preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of construction safety guidelines

  • Outside or in a plant environment; may be exposed to bad weather and/or excessive heat and noise
  • Hazardous chemicals are typically produced or stored in locations close to Work area
  • Work in confined spaces and at elevations above 6’ with 100% tie-off
